Hacksaw Gaming: 2023 Wrapped

2023 was a year to remember at Hacksaw Gaming: we made our debut in a record number of new regulated markets, partnered with multiple industry-leading operators, and released a staggering mixed bag of new games of all themes! Moreover, we traveled far and beyond to make a memorable presence at numerous iGaming conferences across the world. Most importantly, we were celebrated for what we do best; this year, Hacksaw Gaming came out with a 2023 game release that became the proud winner of Best Game of the Year a few weeks later.

Let’s dive into these events in detail and look back on this successful year! 

Global Market Entries
Over the course of the year, we entered 5 new markets across three continents - West Virginia, Colombia, Germany, Bulgaria and Lithuania. This means that Hacksaw Gaming is live in over 20 regulated markets worldwide up to date. We joined several operators for their market debuts; Betsson Group chose Hacksaw games for their entry as the first-ever operator to go live in Croatia, and Soft2Bet took Hacksaw along for their first foray ever into the online gaming world of Romania. The novelty never seems to wear off, as the aforementioned deals represent only two of the dozens of pioneering content agreements we made in 2023 as part of our greater strategy to spread the love for Hacksaw games to a wider player demographic. Next stop - the world!

Hacksaw Takeover in North America
In November, after months of hard work, we received our Transactional Waiver License in New Jersey. We have since rolled out with our classic Hacksaw chart-toppers through several partnership deals in New Jersey to celebrate the market entry. This venture came within only three months of our breakthrough entry into the US iGaming market with West Virginia. Having secured our B2B Supplier Permit in Sweden at the beginning of the year, the rate at which Hacksaw Gaming broadened its horizons to the US is a true testament to the headway we are making in getting the recognition the content deserves! 

Introducing OpenRGS 
June 2023 marked a remarkable moment for us! It witnessed the introduction of Hacksaw OpenRGS, a seamless platform designed to bring slot ideas from various design studios to life. The launch commenced with Backseat Gaming, a studio dedicated to delivering an exceptional gameplay experience. Through our collaboration, Backseat Gaming successfully unveiled 5 titles, and their ambitious roadmap for 2024 promises even more excitement! As 2023 drew to a close, we joined forces with BullShark Games, a studio distinguished by its wealth of gaming knowledge and experience. Their unique style focuses on creating a diverse range of themes to offer players the best possible variety. Looking ahead to 2024, OpenRGS is set to introduce more studios, bringing forth additional epic slot titles. This expansion aims to diversify and craft entertaining and interactive gaming experiences for all.

Award-winning Game Portfolio
We conquered 2023 in true Hacksaw style; within months of entering the new year, we swooped up the Best New Slot of the Month Award in March with R.I.P. City - a January launch. This award from industry portal GamblingNews set the path for a year of stellar prizes. You asked, we delivered; in 2023, we came out with our first-ever prequel, Chaos Crew 2. We blew up the gaming arena with this release, as Chaos Crew 2 claimed the title of Best Game of the Year at the SiGMA Streamer Awards. The crazy antics of Cranky and Sketchy were joined by another 21 games released in 2023. We covered a wide range of themes, new mechanics and absorbing gameplay this year, which proved to deserve the title for Outperforming Game Studio of the Year (Medium) at the Casinobeats Game Developer Awards; a recognition for our boundless drive and vision. In June, we toasted to our success once more to getting the Gold for the Slot Supplier Rising Star award at the annual EGR Global B2B awards celebration, on the basis of 'Greatest promise', 'Innovation and differentiation', 'Growth and commercial success' and 'Profitability'. To more wins, nominations and successes to come! 

Events & Conferences
Hacksaw Gaming traveled far and wide in 2023. We attended up to 10 of the biggest, most anticipated iGaming events and conferences to discuss our award-winning game line-up and engage with top-industry professionals. We made our entrance in February, representing Hacksaw at ICE London, soon followed by Enada Primavera in Rimini, Italy in March. We traveled across the Americas in the spring, kicking off the journey in New Jersey at the SBC Summit North America in May, followed by the Peru Gaming Show in June. In July, we flew the flag for Team Hacksaw at iGBLive Amsterdam, followed by SiGMA World 2023 in Manila, Philippines. We made moves again in September to attend the SBC Summit Barcelona. In October, Hacksaw took on Las Vegas for the G2E expo, buoyed by our recent US breakthrough, and kept the vibes going at SBC Summit Latinoamérica in Miami at the end of the month. We concluded the year with SiGMA Europe in Malta, where we docked and made waves with our swanky Hacksaw yacht! We sincerely enjoyed the thrilling experience of connecting with existing collaborators, forging new partnerships, and discussing upcoming projects to bring forth in the new year. Max Win Club
In July, we opened up shop for our fellow Hacksaw Gaming enthusiasts. We released a variety of closet essentials from hoodies, T-shirts, activewear and limited edition pieces with unique designs and characters from all ends of the whole Hacksaw portfolio. Players can now show their support and dedication to our games by rocking their Hacksaw merch as they spend their past-time lounging, working out, or spinning reels! But we did not stop there - we leveled up with a high class promotion, exclusively available to only the first 100 players per game to reach the shiniest of gold - the Max Win.
